To remove the external handle on an Alfa Romeo MiTo, open the door so you can detach the circular cover on the side of the door. Once this small cover is removed, you can fully unscrew the underlying screw: after this has been removed, use a thin object to lever out the external door lock. Once the lock has been removed, you can also pull out the external handle so that all these components can be replaced with new spare parts.
