Operation: How to remove the external door handle of the Alfa Romeo 159

Let's see today in this guide the steps that will allow us to disassemble and replace the external handle of the front door of the Alfa Romeo 159. First we open the front door and begin to disassemble and remove the door panel, unscrewing all the fixing screws and disconnecting the electrical connector; after which we unscrew the screws of the lock and of the handle, disconnecting the mechanism that we find inside the door, as shown in the video. At this point we remove the handle together with the lock, replacing it with the new one; we reassemble the new spare part, applying the reverse procedure!

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes.
