As a preliminary operation, make sure to gather the necessary tools for the required work. Grip the base of the gear gaiter with your hands to release all the pressure clips that hold it in place. Then, unbutton the button located just below the gear knob to completely remove the leather gaiter. Now, if necessary, remove the gear knob and compare the parts to be replaced. Finally, retrace the steps described in reverse for reassembly of the various components.
