How to replace the rear brake pads of the Audi A3 SportBack

In this article we will see how to replace the rear brake pads of the Audi A3 8P SportBack. To make the replacement, first remove the brake fluid reservoir cap, then lift the car or the rear part. After lifting the car, using a socket wrench with 17mm nuts, unscrew the wheel bolts, once unscrewed and removed, remove the wheel. It is recommended to clean the brake caliper fastening elements using WD40 and a metal brush. After cleaning the fastening elements, use a combination wrench size 13 to unscrew the brake caliper attachment, using a pry bar separate the brake pads, remove the brake pads. It is recommended to clean the caliper support using specific products, after cleaning the support apply the appropriate brake cleaner spray and wait a few minutes. At this point, install the new brake pads by fixing them to the fastening elements, after installing the new brake pads, put back the wheels and fasten them by reinserting the bolts and tightening them. At this point the procedure will be complete and the car can be lowered.
