This article explains how to replace the rear brake pads on the Audi A3 8P SportBack. To start the replacement, first remove the cap from the brake fluid reservoir, then lift the car or the rear end. Once the car is lifted, use a 17mm socket to loosen the wheel bolts; after they are removed, take off the wheel.

It is advisable to clean the brake caliper mounting points using WD40 and a wire brush.

After cleaning the mounting points, use a 13mm spanner to unscrew the brake caliper bracket, then use a crowbar to separate the brake pads and remove them. Clean the caliper bracket with appropriate products, then apply brake cleaner spray and wait a few minutes.

At this point, install the new brake pads by securing them to the mounting points. After installing the new brake pads, reattach the wheels and secure them by reinserting and tightening the bolts.

The procedure will then be complete, and you can lower the car.
