Where is and how to reach the fuse box of an Audi 100?

The fuse box of an Audi 100 is located under the steering column, in a easily accessible position for maintenance operations. To reach it, start by turning off the engine and making sure the vehicle is in a safe position. Then, open the driver's door and kneel next to the seat. Look under the dashboard, specifically under the steering column, where you will find a protective cover. Remove this cover by gently pulling it or unscrewing any fastening screws. Once the cover is removed, you will have access to the fuse box. Inside, you will find a neat arrangement of fuses with a legend indicating their specific functions. Make sure to consult the car manual to correctly identify the fuse to replace or check. Remember to use suitable pliers to safely remove the fuses, avoiding damage or causing short circuits. Once the maintenance is complete, put the protective cover back in place.
