How to remove the coolant temperature sensor on an Audi A4? Let's see how to properly remove and replace the temperature sensor: open the hood, lift it, and secure it with the prop rod. Disconnect the sensor's power connector (located near the air intake hose), and remove the sensor from its housing (if you have difficulty unscrewing the bolts, use a mirror). After comparing the damaged sensor with the new one, install it in its housing in the engine compartment. Test the proper functioning of the sensor installed previously in the compartment.
