How to disassemble the water temperature sensor on an Audi A4? Let's see how to best disassemble and replace the temperature sensor: we open the bonnet, lift and secure it with the rod (piston). We detach the sensor power supply clamp (located near the air hose coupling), remove the piece from its seat (if we have difficulty unscrewing the pins we use a mirror). After comparing the damaged sensor with the new one: let's mount it in its housing located in the engine compartment. We test the correct functioning of the sensor previously mounted in the compartment.

First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
