Replacing the Cabin Air Filter

In the Audi A4 under consideration, the cabin air filter is located at the bottom of the dashboard on the passenger side. The replacement does not require tools; simply unscrew the three screws by hand to remove the foam panel, push the white cap to the right, and pull out the filter. When inserting the new filter, pay attention to the direction of the airflow, which is usually indicated on the edge of the filter. Reposition the cap by pushing it to the left and ensuring it is correctly placed, then reinstall the foam panel and the screws. The procedure described is also valid for other Audi models: Audi A4 2009-2012, A5 2008-2012, S4 2010-2012, S5 2008-2012, Q5 2009-2012.
