How to Replace the Key Battery on Audi A6

Replacing the remote battery on the Audi A6 and many other modern Audi models is a straightforward task that can be done without special tools. First, extract the physical key from the remote. To do this, press the silver button on the smooth side of the remote and pull the top part of the key where the attachment ring is located. Once the physical key is extracted, open the cover on the same side as the previously pressed button by leveraging the physical key on the latch inside its housing. After unfastening the cover, you can remove it by prying on the side, allowing access to the battery, which can be detached and replaced with a new one.
