Replacing the fuel pump on an Audi A4? Let's see how to remove the pump from inside the tank. Open the rear door and remove the seat cushions. Use a socket wrench to remove the screws securing the metal cover, then take it out of its place. Disconnect the electrical connector from the top of the pump. Wrap the entire perimeter of the metal with absorbent paper, then remove the securing screws. Disconnect the power connectors and the liquid circulation hoses. Extract the fuel pump from inside the tank. Secure the pump in its housing and tighten the screws. Reinstall the rear seats.
