How to Replace the Cabin Fan on an Audi A5

Model: Audi A5 8T8, 8T3, 8T, 8F - Years 2007-2016

On VAG group models, a common fault is the squeaking of the cabin fan; it is likely that thorough cleaning and subsequent lubrication of the bearings guiding the fan shaft will resolve the issue, otherwise, the fan will need to be replaced. In any case, you must dismantle the cabin fan, starting by removing the glove compartment by taking off the side cap of the dashboard to access the first fixing pins; then open the door and remove the other fixing screws of the glove compartment to completely extract it from its location, disconnecting the courtesy light connector; then dismantle the air duct, the protective panel, remove the sound-absorbing foam, and finally unscrew the two fixing screws of the fan motor, disconnect the power connector, and turn it anti-clockwise to release it and extract it from its location.
