Removing Internal Radiator Hoses
Model: Audi A4
B6
- Years 2000-2004
The cabin heating uses the heat from the engine's coolant, which passes through the internal radiator (located behind the center tunnel): utilizing the heat from the coolant, the air is heated and then directed into the cabin through the blower; just behind the engine, right below the battery compartment, is the system of hoses that controls this coolant flow: to remove them, it is first necessary to drain the coolant through the designated drain plug and remove the reservoir; the working space is limited, but with some special tools, you can detach the clamps and remove the hoses.
