How to Replace the Timing Belt on an Audi Q3

In this tutorial video, you can see how to replace the timing belt on an Audi Q3 with a 2.0 EA189 DIESEL engine. To remove the timing belt on this type of engine, disconnect all the hoses and move everything above the engine. The first thing to do is to align the CAM pulley and the high-pressure pump pulley with the crankshaft below. Lift the car with a hydraulic lift and remove the wheel to get a good view of the timing belt. Now you can remove the accessory belt and also take off the pulley, but before removing it, set it to the TDC position where it will be marked on both the pulley and the plastic cover. For easier removal, insert a pin. Once the points are marked because the crankshaft needs to return to its position, you can now remove the cover. Once the CAM pulley is in place, loosen the tensioner and the three screws that secure the CAM pulley to make the belt extraction easier.
