Instructions for Removing the Front Grille

Model: Audi A4 B6 - Years 2000-2004
Part: Body

If you need to replace the timing belt, you must remove the entire front cover of the vehicle because the timing components are located at the front, not on the side like most engines. Start by removing the headlights and the front bumper. Next, remove the air conditioning condenser and then the radiator, which is also connected to the automatic transmission oil cooling system. Be careful of any oil leakage. Disconnect the hoses and drain the coolant before finishing the removal of the radiator. Then move on to the impact absorbing bars by disconnecting the collision sensor connectors, and finally disconnect the last connectors and the pressure clips to remove the complete front grille with fans.
