A defect in the original Audi Volkswagen water pumps

On the latest and previous generation Audi/Volkswagen engines, coolant leaks can occur due to a water pump mounted on the timing belt that has a plastic lower part (the rotor). Additionally, it lacks a sensor housing, which often breaks internally, causing various issues. This refers to an original Audi/Volkswagen part. However, there are pumps, like the one shown by our YouTuber, made by competing manufacturers, featuring a metal impeller and a sensor housing that makes internal breakage much less likely. These include Bugatti, Graf, and Metelli pumps, all equally valid.
