How to Replace the Starter Motor on an Audi A3

Model: Audi A3 MK 2, 8P - Years 2003-2013
Part: Starter motor

Lift the bonnet and remove a terminal from the battery to protect other components. Next, disconnect the connector linked to the air intake and remove the entire air filter and related hoses. The starter motor is located underneath, so start by removing all connectors and cables attached to it, and unscrew the bolts securing it. For convenience, work on the bolts from underneath the car. Now you can extract the starter motor from above the bonnet. Take the new starter motor and refit everything by following the steps in reverse.
