Replacing the Air Filter on the Audi A4 B6

To replace the air filter that feeds the injection system of the Audi A4, open the hood of the engine compartment, and locate the filter box near the front on the passenger side. Disconnect the intake hose, unscrew the two torx20 screws that secure the air intake, and remove it. Using a 7mm socket, loosen the clamp on the air duct and slide it off, then use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the two screws of the cover and remove it. Take out the old filter, use a rag to plug the outlet hole, and clean the inside of the box with a blast of compressed air, insert a new filter element, and close the cover, reassembling the parts in reverse order.
