As we can see in this video, the rear wiper on this Audi A4 8P was not parking in the correct position, and the washer was not working; as a result, water could enter the trunk, threatening the battery and the spare tire. The cause of the malfunction is due to a clogged nozzle, which causes washer fluid to leak into the motor, corroding its internal parts.

We will need to remove the rear wiper, lift the hatch, remove the trunk light, and the interior panels covering the mounting screws to take off the plastic cover of the hatch. Then disconnect the washer fluid tube, remove the motor from the hatch by unscrewing the three mounting nuts, and disconnect the connector.

You can find the motor on Amazon with the code B08V3GWRB3, priced at $59.90 with free shipping. Secure it to the hatch with its data, reconnect the electrical connector, and reattach the washer fluid tube.

Replace the plastic cover and reinstall the rear wiper.
