Replace the key fob battery of a BMW 3 Series? Let's see how to do it in this detailed video. Take your key fob and press the button to release the metal key. Once extracted, use a screwdriver to pry between the key cover and the top plastic cap (where the metal key sits). Pry until the cover opens. Remove the worn battery with a screwdriver, take a new one of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the cover on your key fob by pressing until you hear it click into place. Finally, insert the metal key back into the fob. Check that the key fob works correctly.
