How to Replace the Key Fob Battery on BMW 3 Series

Let's replace the key fob battery on the BMW 3 Series: Take your key fob and press the button to release the metal key. Once extracted, use a screwdriver to pry apart the two plastic key covers (separate the two covers) until the cover opens. Remove the worn battery with a screwdriver, take a new one of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the two covers on the key fob by pressing until you hear a click. Finally, insert the metal key back into the fob. Check that the fob functions correctly.
