Replacing Cabin Dome Lights with LED

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

Choose a replacement bulb identical to the one being replaced. Remove the dome light to access the socket by gently prying the outer edge with a plastic tool and disconnect the connector. Rotate the knob on the back a quarter turn to remove the faulty LED bulb and install the new bulb. If the new bulb does not light up, ensure it is properly rotated and secured in the socket. Reinstall the dome light in its housing. You can perform the same operation on other interior dome lights, where an LED bulb is installed instead of the old bulb type; in any case, the two bulbs are perfectly interchangeable without issues. Remove the cover of the dome light to access the socket, remove the faulty bulb, and install the new bulb. For LED bulbs, it is important to install them with the correct polarity. If the new bulb does not light up, rotate the bulb 180 degrees and reinstall it.
