How to replace the cabin air filter on a BMW 1 Series vehicle

The cabin air filter on BMW 1 Series vehicles, unlike other models, is located inside the front hood, under the flange and near the windshield washer fluid container. Using a socket wrench with an extension, we remove the six screws on the filter cover, once the cover is removed we can proceed to remove the filter. After removing the filter, we clean the housing with a vacuum cleaner and a damp cloth to remove any dust residue inside. Insert the new filter and close the cover, securing it with the six screws previously removed.
