How to replace and register the battery of a BMW 3 Series F30

In this video, we are given a lot of useful information about installing and registering the battery of a BMW car. First of all, in the case of the car in the video, which is a Series 3 F30, we are given the exact code which is 61215A40E29. Like most modern BMWs, the battery is located in the trunk, above the right rear wheel. We will need to remove the mounting bracket, then disconnect the negative terminal from the battery, making sure it does not interfere with the removal operations, and only then the positive one; we remove the safety bracket. The battery weighs about 24 kilograms, and is located in a place where there is not much leverage, so it can be complicated to remove it from its housing, and the same goes for repositioning it. We put the safety bracket back in place, reconnect the positive terminal and then the negative one, and then put the mounting bracket back in place. Now we will need to register the battery, because the car keeps memory of these operations. We will use an app called "carly", which we can find on mycarly.com and connect it to the OBD port, with the dashboard on; we connect with our app, and go to the box at the bottom right where we find the functions, and scroll down to battery reset, confirm and now turn off and then turn on the dashboard, and it's done.
