The information provided in this guide will show us how to disassemble and replace the battery of the BMW Series 2 228i. First, we open the hood of the car and locate the battery, located at the top right; then we remove the plastic partition found at the top in order to later extract the battery.

At this point, we disconnect both battery terminals (positive and negative), unscrewing the screws of the battery bracket found at the bottom; we remove and replace the battery with the new original one, having the same amperage.

Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins.
