How to Reset the Service Light on a BMW 4 Series

Model: BMW Serie 4 F32, F36, MK 1, F33 - Years 2013-2020

To reset the service light on a BMW 4 Series, insert the key or press the Start button without pressing the brake pedal to turn on the instrument cluster without starting the engine. Wait for the display to fully illuminate. Press and hold the trip odometer reset button located on the instrument cluster for about 10 seconds until the service menu appears on the display. Release the button and press it again multiple times to scroll through the various maintenance items until you find the one related to service or oil change. When the desired item is displayed, press and hold the button until the reset request appears, then hold it again to confirm the reset. Once completed, turn off the ignition and turn it back on to verify that the service light has been successfully reset.
