Removing the Instrument Cluster from BMW 4 Series

Removing the instrument cluster from a BMW, like many other cars, is easier than you think. Simply remove the plastic trim around the steering wheel using a plastic trim tool (not metal!) or a medium-small flathead screwdriver. At this point, you will have freed the two Torx screws that secure the instrument cluster above the steering wheel. By pushing from behind through the space you created by removing the covers, you can pull out the dashboard. While detaching the cluster, remember to disconnect the three connectors present.
