Removing/Replacing Front Turn Signal

The turn signal lens on the BMW 3 Series is designed for quick removal without special tools. The lens is press-fitted and held in place by a simple plastic tab. To release the tab, insert a screwdriver into the oval hole on the top of the fender and apply light pressure until you feel the lens detach.

To remove the bulb, rotate the socket counterclockwise by ninety degrees. Now that you have removed the lens, take the opportunity to clean the edge of the body where dirt accumulates that is not removed during regular washes.

To reassemble, simply reverse the process.
