Replacing Manufacturer Emblem

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006

Due to sunlight and/or car wash detergents, the manufacturer emblem on the hood tends to deteriorate and fade completely. It can be purchased either original or aftermarket. As the first step, it is recommended to slide dental floss under the emblem to cut any adhesive or glue present (the emblem is actually secured by pressure through two clips, but it may have been replaced previously and secured with glue). At this point, use a small flathead screwdriver to pry off the two securing clips; clean any dirt present with a cloth and attach the new emblem, ensuring that the clips fit correctly into their slots.
