How do you open the front hood on a BMW 3 Series? Here’s how. Pull the lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then slightly lift the hood and unlock the release lever located at the front grille. Once the hood is unlocked, lift it up and secure it. Now that the hood is open, perform maintenance on the fluid reservoirs.

To close the hood, push it down until it closes completely. Ensure the hood is closed to avoid issues while driving.
