How to Unlock the Hood of a BMW 3 Series?

If the hood of your BMW 3 Series won't open and remains stuck even after pressing the designated release button inside the cabin, the release mechanism may be faulty. There is an emergency procedure to unlock the hood: first, lift the front right side of the car using a jack. Then, remove the bolts securing the right front wheel and take off the wheel to access the inner fender cover. Now, you can manually move the hood release mechanism to unlock the hood.
