First, locate the battery, which is in the trunk; open the trunk lid and remove the carpeted cover on the right. Next, unscrew the negative terminal clamp and the positive terminal; disconnect the positive terminal connector and unscrew the bolt of the mounting bracket at the bottom using a socket wrench. Finally, remove the battery and replace it with a new one of the correct type.
