How to Remove the Instrument Cluster from a BMW 3 Series

Before you can begin, sit in the driver's seat of your BMW 3 Series. Using a Torx screwdriver, start by unscrewing the screws that secure the instrument cluster to the dashboard. Once you have removed both Torx screws, you will have freed the instrument cluster from the dashboard. Next, you will need to pull out the dashboard. When you have extracted the instrument cluster from the dashboard, you will have access to the rear electrical connectors and wires, which you will need to disconnect. At this point, you can completely remove the instrument cluster, and you will have finished the disassembly.
