Before you begin, open the hood of your BMW 3 Series. Next, activate the instrument cluster without starting the engine.

Then, press and hold the left button inside the instrument cluster, and release it. This will take you to the reset menu. Now, select the brake option and confirm.

At this point, confirm the reset by holding the button at the end of the left turn signal stalk until the "Brake Pad" light turns off, completing the reset.
