Today we are going to show you a really easy maintenance, namely replacing the gear lever knob on a BMW Z4. This procedure is particularly simple since, to extract the original knob, all you have to do is pull it upwards. This will be enough (with a little force) to unhook the aforementioned knob from the shear attachment of the lever. In the same way, fit the new knob by applying pressure with your hand: often, however, non-original spare parts also have a small screw at the base of the knob, which you will have to screw with an Allen key. Check that the new piece does not move.

Use a lever to pry off the handle cover (remove the piece), then, with a screwdriver, unscrew the fastening screws in the handle inside the door panel. Unscrew the screws located in the plastic of the door opening lever. Use the lever to detach the retaining clips around the perimeter of the door panel.
