How to Remove the Exterior Door Handle of a BMW 3 Series

Model: BMW Serie 3 E36 - Years 1990-2001

Before you begin, open the front door of your BMW 3 Series. Start by prying off and removing the side cover that protects the screw securing the exterior door handle. Next, unscrew and remove the screw you exposed. This will free the exterior handle frame, which you need to remove. At this point, disconnect the clip that holds the handle in place, then remove the handle itself. Once you complete this step, you will have finished the disassembly and can proceed to install the new handle.
