How to Replace the Rear Speakers in BMW 3 Series E91

This guide shows how to replace the rear door speakers in the BMW 3 Series E91. The first step is to remove the trim plastic on the door armrest using a trim removal tool; next, remove the plastic around the handle to expose the screw that needs to be removed. Unscrew the three Torx screws with a T20 wrench located at the top of the handle, behind it, and in the armrest. Now you can remove the inner door panel with the help of a trim tool. At this point, disconnect the wires from the panel. To remove the speaker, unscrew the three 8 mm nuts and disconnect the tweeter wire. The tweeter is held in place by a threaded ring; once this piece is loosened, you can remove the tweeter from the housing. Install the replacement parts in the same manner as the old parts were removed.
