To replace the thermostat on a BMW 3 Series, lift the car to access the underside. First, disconnect all hoses connected to the part, removing any retaining clips as needed. Once the hoses are disconnected, move them aside to allow the thermostat to be pulled from its housing. Then, install the new replacement part into its housing and reconnect the hoses that were previously disconnected. After completing the operation, secure the hoses and lower the car.
