Resetting the adaptation values of the BMW 3 Series automatic transmission is very simple. This operation should be performed if you want to restore factory values, to resolve a potential issue, or simply to eliminate a faulty adaptation. To do this, sit inside the cabin, without pressing any pedals, and turn on the ignition by turning the key or pressing the Start button once, if available. At this point, press the accelerator all the way down to the kick-down position for 30 seconds, release the pedal, and start the engine.
