Child Safety Lock Activation

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003

If you are transporting children in the back seats and want to travel in total safety, it is absolutely essential to activate the lock that prevents the rear doors from opening from the inside (even accidentally). The doors can only be opened using the outside handles. Once the door is open, locate a red plastic screw inside the lock: simply turn it counterclockwise to activate the lock and prevent opening from the inside; then turn it clockwise again to restore the normal functionality of the doors.
