How to Reset the Oil Service Light

This video shows you how to reset the engine oil service light. First, without turning the key, insert your reset tool into the diagnostic port. Turn the key and switch on the ignition, move the lever on the reset tool to Oil and press the rear button for 6 seconds; then position the lever to Inps and hold the rear button for 14 seconds. The reset process is complete when the LED light on your tool turns off. Check by turning the ignition off and then back on, and the job is done. BMW 5 Series
