To replace the lambda sensor in the BMW 3 Series, open the hood to access the engine bay and its internal components. The sensor is located at the front of the engine bay, near the coolant reservoir.

To remove the sensor, disconnect its connector and unscrew the sensor from its housing. This task may be challenging since the part is located at the bottom of the engine.

Once removed, you can install a new one and reattach any obstructing parts that were removed earlier.
