How to Reset the "ECU" (Engine Control Unit) to Factory Settings

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003
Part: Warning light – error code

The following video tutorial explains how to reset the "ECU" (Engine Control Unit) to factory settings on a BMW 5 Series (the same procedure applies to BMW E39 models, 528i, 540i, M5, M52).
First, turn the key to activate the instrument cluster. At this point, press the accelerator pedal and hold it down for five seconds. The next step is to turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position. Without removing the key, lift your foot off the accelerator. Wait two minutes and remove the key. Insert it again, and the "ECU" function will be reset and restored to how it was when the vehicle left the factory.

How to Remove the Engine Oil Filter of the Peugeot 308

How do you remove the engine oil filter of the Peugeot 308? Follow this guide to proceed with the replacement. Open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard, then lift the front bonnet and secure it. Using a socket wrench, unscrew the large securing bolt of the container cap where the oil filter is located (engine compartment under the ventilation pipe). Drain the used oil from under the engine sump. Remove the worn oil filter and position a new one, ensuring it adheres well around the walls of the housing. Finally, refit the ventilation pipe and top up the engine oil. Close the front bonnet last.
