Replacing the Engine Oil Level Sensor

In this video tutorial, replace the engine oil level sensor on a BMW 5 Series. First, ensure that the oil pan is completely drained. It is also important that the operation is performed with the engine completely cold. Once you remove the old sensor by loosening the mounting bolts with a 10 mm wrench, disconnect the wiring. Then, install a new sensor, securing it again with the small 10 mm bolts. Reconnect the sensor. Only at this point can you refill the pan with new engine oil.
