How to Replace the TCM Battery in a BMW 3 Series?

When the warning message indicating an emergency call error appears on the dashboard of the BMW 3 Series, it means that the TCM battery, also known as the backup battery, needs to be replaced. This battery is located at the top of the car, under the upholstery covering the roof. To remove it, you need to loosen the screws securing the courtesy light assembly so that the upholstered part of the roof can be moved, providing access to the TCM battery. Replace it with a new replacement part, and reinstall all previously removed components.
