How to Replace the Seat Cables in a BMW 3 Series?

Model: BMW Serie 3 E36 - Years 1990-2001

To replace the cables that allow you to recline the seat in a BMW 3 Series, loosen all the bolts securing the seat at the bottom so that it can be removed from the cabin. This will allow you to unscrew the screws at the base of the backrest and remove the levers on the sides of the backrest. You can then detach the cover on the back of the backrest to access the underlying components, including the cables. These can then be pulled out from inside the seat and replaced with new replacement parts.
