BMW Serie 3 - Video tutorial
Model: BMW Serie 3
E92, E91, E90
- Years 2005-2013 With this tutorial we are going to see how to replace the battery in the BMW E91. We open the trunk, lift and remove the bottom cover. With a flat screwdriver we go to unscrew the two plastic retainers placed on the right of the compartment and remove the side panel in carpet. Now to remove the battery compartment cover let's turn the two plastic plugs; we switched on the battery. With a 10 mm socket wrench we unscrew the upper arm; we then detach the clamp supporting the battery cables. With the socket insert we remove the negative pole bolt and detach it (we can cover the pole with a latex glove to prevent it from accidentally making contact). We disconnect the cables arriving at the positive pole by acting on the retaining clips. With a flat screwdriver we remove the clips placed on the sides of the positive pole; with the insert we go to unscrew the fixing bolt of the positive and we can extract it. We detach the other cable clamps so that we can move the wires away and easily remove the battery. The video also mentions the presence of a battery fixing plate, whose removal is easy and possible by unscrewing the screw visible on the side of the accumulator. Let's then insert the new battery into its seat and to assemble it we proceed by following the disassembly operations in reverse order.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHandbrake adjustment on Ford EcosportFirst remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base. by ScegliAuto More videos
