Front Headlight Bulb Replacement

Model: BMW X5 E53 - Years 1999-2006

Since there is not enough space behind the headlight to access the bulbs, you need to remove the headlight to perform this maintenance; however, removing the headlight is very simple. Just unscrew the four mounting bolts (two on the grille and two behind on the frame) and pull the headlight forward to disconnect the respective connectors, including the one for the xenon control unit. Once the headlight is removed, unscrew the screws securing the protective cover of the xenon bulb, disconnect the connector, and rotate counterclockwise to release the retaining ring. Proceed in reverse for reassembly.
