Removing Rear Door Panel

Model: BMW Serie 3 E46 - Years 1998-2006
Part: Door trim panel

The rear trim panel covers the inner side and is very simple to remove: it consists of a central element that covers the speakers and an outer frame; start by removing the two screws located under the internal armrest handle and then, using a plastic pry tool, detach the clips that secure the central panel to the outer frame, which in turn consists of an upper strip, under the glass, and a lower semi-panel also secured with clips. At this point, detach the clips and complete the removal.

Use a plastic lever to pry at the edge of the side plastics as shown in the video. Once the plastics are removed, unscrew the screws located at the sides of the centre console with a suitable screwdriver, and disconnect all the power connectors. Remove the side rests from the glove compartment. Fit the new piece onto the centre cover and proceed with the assembly of the remaining parts, working in reverse order.
