To correctly and independently replace the button battery in your BMW 5 Series F10 key, follow these steps. First, remove the physical emergency key by pulling it out. Next, use a small flathead screwdriver to remove the back cover of the key to access the dead battery. Finally, replace it with a new one (model CR2450) and reassemble the back cover, making sure to reinsert the emergency key.
