Window Regulator Replacement

Model: BMW Serie 7 MK 3, E38 - Years 1994-2001
Part: Power window motor

To replace the rear window regulator, first remove the door trim panel and the soundproofing material (be careful when peeling off the adhesive to avoid tearing the trim). Then connect the window switch and lower the window halfway to access the glass mounting clips (you can also power the motor with a jump battery and two pieces of wire).
Loosen the mounting pins of the clips and remove the glass after taking off the trim from the glass pillar. Next, unscrew the mounting pins of the window regulator and pull it out along with the motor. Then attach the same motor to the new regulator and reverse the steps for installation.
