The struts that support the hood and also hold it during the closing phase are actually gas springs that tend to lose their capacity to support weight over time. They are easy to find in the aftermarket, and replacing them is just as simple.

Once the hood is open, use a support rod and proceed with the strut replacement: first, extract the retaining clip of the ball joint and detach it from its seat (both top and bottom), install the new strut, and close the clip to secure the ball joint back in its seat.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins. Once unlocked, tilt the seat upwards and forwards to remove it from its position. Repeat this process for both sides of the rear seat.
